Ch. 13
SinnersJUNGKOOK
I anxiously looked around the small coffee shop, making sure no one was paying me any attention, I knew I hadn't been followed but something in me kept telling me to stay alert because at any moment, my cover could get blown, hence why we always met in small places where Taehyung or his men would never come too. My leg began to bounce as the seconds ticked by, chewing on the inside of my bottom lip as my thumbs messed with the handle of the coffee mug.
Each time the bell on the door dinged, signaling that someone had either entered or left the building, I would glance up. I made it a point of sitting in a spot I could easily see the door just in case.
"I'm sorry I'm late." Hoseok said out of breath as he sat down in the seat in front of me. "I got held up."
I let out a long sigh. "It's alright, I just can't be gone too long without any reasoning. Taehyung gets very suspicious very quickly." I replied.
"So. What's the weekly update?" He asked as he poured sugar into his coffee mug, mixing it before taking a drink.
I scratched the back of my neck. "Things are escalating pretty quickly. A lot of it I had to save to tell you in person. So you remember the girl I was telling you about?"
"The one with the messed up father? That one?" He set his cup down, his eyes narrowing at me. "Don't tell me you've fallen for her."
"N-no. Nothing like that." I felt my cheeks warm up, I quickly brought my cup to my mouth and looked away from his gaze.
"So then what? Are you gonna make me keep guessing?"
"She knows. About everything. Before you say anything you have to hear me out. Hoseok, Taehyung will end up killing this girl." I said with all seriousness. :She doesn't deserve to end up like that. Either he will do it himself or it will be because of him."
"What's so special about this girl? Who is she exactly to make you blow your cover like that. I mean Jesus Jungkook forget about the ing girl, we have bigger things to worry about." He rubbed his temples no doubt trying to think of what to do.
"I don't know how to explain it. I've done all the research on her, she's completely clean. She was a college student that dropped out because family problems, she worked at least one full time job while picking up any other odd job she could all for her father to gamble it all away, and then some. To the point he sold his own daughter, to no other than devil himself just to save his own life." I looked down at my hands. "An I just don't want to end up seeing her dead."
"What is this girls name? We can put her in Witness Protection." He answered. "Simple as that." He shrugged a shoulder.
"Choi Nari. And I don't think Witness Protection would really help her, not with how he is with her. No, we need to arrest him and then go from there."
"Choi Nari..." Hoseok repeated, seeming to go off into his own thoughts for a moment before he squeezed the bridge of his nose trying to rid himself of an oncoming headache. "What are you asking of me.. Honestly?"
I lifted a shoulder. My phone going off before I could answer him, I pulled it from the inside of my jacket, Taehyung's name flashed across the screen and my heart dropped, my stomach turned. I glanced up at Hoseok and pressed a finger against my l
